Continuing west, I cross Castle Valley on the far side of the swell. Air temperatures are 95°, but it is hotter on the tarmac. The long day exposed to the sun is wearing. I leave I-70 for US-50 at the end of the day, and spend the night in tiny Scipio, Utah, population 290.
