I end the day in Fruita, Colorado, a popular destination for mountain bikers. I get a pesto and calamata pizza from the Hot Tomato Cafe, the happening place to eat in town, and bring it to the Copper Club Tap Room to sample their ale. I end up celebrating the Solstice rocking to the live band, "Hymn for Her", a "juiced-up backwoods country blues with a dose of desert rock psychedelia that has been described as ‘Hell’s Angels meets the Amish’". Things could be worse.
